Spicy Mashed Potatoes (Aloo Pitika)

Its one of the comfort food of Assam and everyone's favourite too.

I have made some experiments on the traditional aloo pitika.

Must try!!

Ingredients:

3 boiled potatoes

1 chopped onion

2 tbspn chopped fresh coriander

1 big dry red chili

½ tspn chopped ginger

2 chopped green chillies (optional)

3 tbspn oil

salt as per taste

Method:

  1. In a kadhai, add oil and fry the dry Chilly.

  2. Once the colour of chilly becomes brown, take it out on a plate

  3. Let it cool and smash the fried Chilly.

  4. Now, add the chopped onions and ginger in the kadai and fry until light brown.

  5. In a bowl, mash the boiled potatoes.

  6. Add, the smashed fried chilly,the fried ginger and onions along with the oil, salt and the chopped coriander.

  7. Mix all the ingredients and mash it into a fine paste.

Delicious spicy Mashed Potato (Aloo Pitika) is ready!!
