Ingredients:
300 gms of Mutton
2 half cut potatoes
1 medium size fresh orange pulp
1 large onion sliced
3 green chillies
2 tbspn grated ginger
5 pods of garlic
½ tbspn red chilli powder
5 tbspn of Mustard/Canola Oil
¼ th tspn turmeric
Salt as per taste
Method:
In a Cooker, add the muttons, 1 tbspn of grated ginger and ½ tbspn salt.
Simmer the flame and let the water from mutton reduce.
Once the water is reduced, remove the mutton in a plate
Add Oil in the cooker and fry the sliced onions until brown.
Add 1 tbspn of grated ginger, 4 pods of garlic and fry along with the onions.
Add the mutton, potatoes, salt, turmeric and 1/4th cup water in the cooker.
Once the masalas mix well, add the orange pulp, green chillies and 2 cups of water.
When the curry starts boiling, close the lid and whistle 6-7 times.
After the cooker cools down, check if mutton is cooked properly.
If more consistency is required, keep the cooker on high flame for 1 minute.
Your Orangy mutton gravy is ready.
Garnish with fresh orange Zest, fresh coriander and serve hot!!
